Help for children afraid of the dark or scared of monsters |
Welcome to Little Children Big Dreams - our aim is to help more children fear less.
It is very common for young children to be afraid of the dark or to be scared of monsters. Often though this leads to frightening dreams, frequent night waking (often for your whole family!), challenging behaviour at bedtime and, worst of all, distress for your little one which can go on for months or even years. It can be hard to know how best to help. Little Children Big Dreams allows you to create a personalized story for your child to help conquer their night fears quickly and effectively. These delightful stories have been developed by Child Psychiatrist Dr Kaylene Henderson using her knowledge of successful therapeutic principles. All you need to do is add a few simple details about your child (e.g. first name, gender, town/suburb etc) to make them the star of their own fear-fighting tale! Each story comes with a certificate for your child and an accompanying parent guide. This parent guide, written by Dr Henderson, provides easy-to-follow instructions on how to use the story to help your child overcome their fear of the dark or fear of monsters! There are two great stories for you to choose from:
Each are priced at only $14.99 (Australian Dollars) and can be downloaded as PDF files and printed immediately along with the parent guide and certificate for your child, ready to use straight away. A copy of your documents will also be created by Dr Kaylene Henderson and emailed directly to you within 24 hours for safe-keeping. Once you have printed your child’s story you will see space for your child’s illustrations on each page. When your child draws their fears for you, they let you into their world. Better still, drawing their own pictures helps to involve your child in the story and in its message of bravery which leads to quicker improvements. You’ll be beating your child’s night fear together in no time!
