Feedback from Raising Good Kids Online Course Series:

For parent's series:

"I loved this course. Definitely the best parent education I’ve ever completed and better than any of the parenting books I’d read! The practical tips, the price, the online format – all perfect. I can’t thank you enough".
~ Leanne Morrow (Mother of 3, Brisbane, Australia)

For professional's series:

"This course series is great; it truly is! The practical examples are so very relevant. There isn’t a single early years child care practitioner that couldn’t relate to these. I love the approaches taught to manage children’s behaviour too. These will make a big difference for the practitioners who get to complete this course".
~ Sarah Tomoum (Early Years Foundation Stage Consultant, United Kingdom)

CIRCLE OF SECURITY PARENTING WEEKEND WORKSHOPS

Next course: Brisbane 19th and 20th September 2015

The Circle of Security Parent Education Program is also an inspiring yet practical course for parents of children aged 0-5 and for professionals working with young families.

Course attendees will learn how to identify their children's emotional needs and respond to their behaviours in ways which result in greater resilience, fewer behavioural difficulties, better relationships with family and friends, improved self esteem and enhanced school readiness.

Topics covered include:

  • Recognising and understanding children’s emotional needs
  • How to support a child’s independence
  • How to support a child’s need for closeness and intimacy
  • How to promote the development of empathy in children
  • Understanding why sometimes children’s behaviours cause a negative reaction in their parents/carers
  • How to handle a child’s emotional ‘meltdowns’
  • What approach to take when children ‘act out’

While usually run as an 8 week program, Dr Kaylene Henderson sometimes presents a condensed "weekend workshop" format - rarely offered in Australia, yet perfect for busy parents.

Who Should Attend:

While this parent education program has been developed for parents of children aged between 0-5, the concepts are still helpful for parents of older children (up to the pre-teen years). Expectant parents and professionals working with young families are also welcome to attend. Whether you're struggling with your parenting role or just wanting tips on how to be the best parent you can be, you will find this course to be invaluable..

Early childhood educators will also find this course to be ideal with this course linking to the National Quality Standards: Quality Areas 5 and 6 and the Early Years Learning Framework: Outcomes 1, 3, 5 and Principles 1, 2 and 4.

(Kindly note that children are unable to attend. Furthermore while most parents would find this course to be very beneficial, if you or your child has had a history of trauma or mental health issues then seeking out individual sessions would be more helpful for you).
